Privacy Policy
Effective August 23, 2026. This page explains the categories of information the site may process, why they are processed, how advertising technologies may be used, and the choices available to visitors.
1. Information you provide
If you contact Teacher Renewal Desk, we may receive the information contained in your message, such as your email address, name if you provide one, the page you are asking about, and the contents of your request. Do not send sensitive credential, identity, financial, or background-check records by ordinary email.
2. Information collected automatically
The hosting platform, security services, analytics tools, and advertising systems used by the site may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location, timestamps, and interactions needed to operate, measure, protect, and improve the site.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies for essential site functions, audience measurement, fraud prevention, preferences, and advertising. Non-essential technologies may be limited until any consent or privacy choice required for the visitor’s region has been collected.
4. Analytics
Analytics may be used to understand which guides are useful, how visitors move through the site, what devices need better support, and where errors occur. Analytics configuration should avoid collecting information that is not needed for those purposes.
5. Google and third-party advertising
If Google AdSense or another advertising provider is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Advertising cookies may use non-personally identifiable information about browsing activity to make ads more relevant; they are not intended to place a visitor’s directly identifying details into an ad.
Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. Additional industry opt-out choices may be available through YourAdChoices. Information about Google’s advertising technologies is available in Google’s advertising policies and technologies notice.
Advertising is separate from editorial content. Payment for advertising does not determine the answer given in a renewal guide, which sources are cited, or how an article is updated.
6. Consent for EEA, UK, and Switzerland visitors
If the site serves personalized Google ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the production advertising setup must use a Google-certified consent management platform that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where Google requires it. Until that configuration is active, the site should not claim that a home-built banner alone satisfies Google’s personalized-ad consent requirements.
7. U.S. state privacy choices
Depending on the visitor’s state and the advertising or analytics services enabled at the time, additional opt-out or privacy controls may apply. Where required, the production site may present a privacy message or control for choices such as opting out of certain personalized advertising or data uses. Questions about the site’s current configuration can be sent through the Contact page.
8. External links
Guides link to state agencies, education departments, commissions, universities, districts, and other external sites. Teacher Renewal Desk does not control the privacy practices, availability, or content of those external services.
9. Data retention
Contact messages and operational logs may be retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, analytics, legal compliance, or recordkeeping. Retention periods can differ by service provider and data category.
10. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures may be used to protect site systems, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Children
The publication is directed to adult educators and education professionals. It is not designed as a service for children, and we do not intentionally request personal information from children through the site.
12. Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live and the services enabled on the site, you may have rights or controls relating to cookies, access, deletion, correction, or certain processing of personal information. Requests can be sent through the contact method published on the Contact page.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site adds or removes analytics, advertising, forms, service providers, or other data-processing features. The effective date at the top of the page should be updated when a meaningful change is published.
